The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (CAIC) is focused on the creative industries sector of the Kansas economy. The Commission is dedicated to measuring, promoting, supporting and expanding the creative industries to grow the state's economy and create creative industry-related jobs.

New Dance LabNew Dance Partners, a partnership between The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission and Johnson County Community College, is accepting applications for 3-5 aspiring dance professionals to participate in the newly launched New Dance Lab.
In its pilot year, The New Dance Lab will expand the programming of New Dance Partners to allow a select group of aspiring dance professionals throughout the state of Kansas the opportunity to participate in one-on-one professional development workshops. Click here for more info.
Tallgrass Artist ResidencyThis residency seeks to create connection and conversation across the Great Plains by requesting that applicants currently live in a place that is ecologically considered prairie (though it may be paved and urbanized!).
Ideal applicants will have a strong body of work with a voice that reflects the artist’s own community; a dedication to place, and an interest in participating in a contemporary dialogue.
