KANSASWORKS to host virtual job fair for Larned State Hospital March 13

KANSASWORKS will host a virtual job fair for the Larned State Hospital on March 13. Job seekers from around the state will have the opportunity to meet with hospital staff via video conference through their local workforce center. Hospital representatives will discuss current openings as well as benefits.

Employment opportunities include: RN, LPN, entry level Direct Care, Administrative Support, Psychology, Food Service, Activity Therapy, Shift Leaders and Safety/Security Officers. Interested persons are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring a copy of their resume. Computers will be available to complete the State of Kansas application and necessary paperwork.

“I encourage all those who are interested in these opportunities at Larned State Hospital to participate in this job fair,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “The virtual nature of the job fair makes it easy for anyone across the state to join in by visiting their nearest local Workforce Center.”

WHAT: Virtual job fair for the Larned State Hospital sponsored by KANSASWORKS.

WHEN/WHERE: Two sessions will be offered: 9-10 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. Jobs seekers can participate by visiting their local workforce center. Workforce center locations can be found by calling (877) 509-6757 or by visiting and clicking the contact link.

Larned State Hospital (LSH) is the largest psychiatric facility in the state serving the western two-thirds of Kansas with nearly 1,000 employees and the capacity to treat over 450 patients daily, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. LSH is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
