The Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors will be meeting on Nov. 13 in Wichita. The focus of the agenda will be the aviation industry and ways to make the Kansas aviation sector more competitive globally.
WHEN/WHERE: 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Administration Building, Spirit AeroSystems, 3801 S. Oliver St., Wichita, Kan. 67210.
WHO: Gov. Sam Brownback, state leaders and advisory council members. The meeting also will feature:
• Jeremy Hill, director, Center for Economic and Business Research at Wichita State University, who will speak on aerospace industry competitiveness.
• John Tomblin, executive director, National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR), Wichita State University will discuss NIAR’s role and industry collaboration.
• Tony Kinkel, president, Wichita Area Technical College, will speak about the role of the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT).
