Job seekers, veterans and others interested in applying for or learning about career opportunities related to oil and gas activity in the Mississippian Lime Play (MLP) in Kansas should plan to attend the Kansas Oil and Gas Career and Resources Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Hutchinson.

This fair, sponsored by KANSASWORKS, will feature many active oil and gas companies operating in the MLP, along with their suppliers and vendors. Technical and community colleges will be on hand to discuss a variety of training opportunities for careers in high demand jobs in the MLP.

WHAT: Kansas Oil and Gas Career and Resources Fair.

WHEN/WHERE: 3-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the Domestic Arts Building, Kansas State Fairgrounds, 2000 N. Poplar St., Hutchinson, Kan. 67502.

WHO: Recruiters from companies across Kansas, many conducting on-site interviews. A list of some of the participating companies, organizations and post-secondary institutions follows at the bottom of this release.

PARKING AND OTHER INFORMATION: Participants should enter the fairgrounds through gate No. 1 from Popular Street or Gate No. 3 from Main Street. Parking is available on any grass lots near and around the Domestic Arts Building.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress appropriately for interviews and bring several copies of their resumes. In addition, participants should visit KANSASWORKS.com prior to attending the job fair for the latest list of companies attending and positions available.
