Finding Employees

Workforce Centers:

An array of services is available at no cost to assist employers in finding the right employees for the job. At each workforce center employers have access to a pool of qualified workers and related services. Contact a workforce center near you for more information.

Employee Recruitment Assistance:

The effort to match employees with employers is sometimes called "labor exchange" or is referred to by its funding source, the Federal Wagner-Peyser Act. But in Kansas it is simply our commitment to help employers find qualified employees and to help job seekers find the right jobs. This effort of finding qualified workers for employers includes job and resume posting on KANSASWORKS.com, taking applications and making referrals according to your schedule and specifications, facilities for interviewing job candidates, help with job fairs, and information on tax credits for new hires.

Veteran Services:

One of the best sources for skilled employees is the pool of veterans who are working with veterans representatives at workforce centers to find new employment. These veterans have learned a variety of skills while serving our country and are ready to work for you. For assistance in finding a veteran who is the right person for your job opening, visit your local workforce center and talk with the Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) or Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP).
