High speed internet is an enabler for a prosperous community. While Kansas ranks seventh in residential internet usage¹, challenges in coverage, speed and internet adoption still exist.

In order to understand and to help address these challenges, the Kansas Department of Commerce is partnering with Kansas communities, government officials, the private sector and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to analyze the changing nature of our broadband footprint and to encourage Kansans to use the internet to help grow our economy.

This website is the connection point for information and discussions about broadband in the state of Kansas. Here you will find:

• A forum that stimulates technological innovation and showcases ways communities, residents and businesses are using the internet to grow, to learn and to improve the quality of life in Kansas, and;
