Wichita State University

National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) is dedicated to serving the innovation needs of the aviation industry through research and development, design, testing, certification and transfer of new technology. The center includes 15 research and testing laboratories which encompass a broad range of capabilities dealing with aircraft design, performance and safety. With close ties to Kansas aircraft companies, NIAR’s students gain valuable industry exposure through a variety of internships and projects.
