 Notes: The Strother Field Airport/Industrial Park is a 1600-acre industrial park with numerous industrial sites available, located on US Highway 77 midway between Cowley County's two primary cities, five miles north of Arkansas City and five miles south of Winfield. With over 30 manufacturing and service related occupants and 1700 employees, Strother Field is home to companies such as General Electric Engine Services, Elevator Solutions Inc., Morton Building, Greif Inc., Winfield Consumer Products/Husky Liners, Central Plains Book Manufacturing, KSQ Blowmolding, Quick Pick Distribution and numerous others. The industrial park is located on US Highway 77 and is only 20 minutes from I-35. The airport is one of the best of its kind in the region and has recently completed a $1.75 million runway improvement project, making it one of the most modern small airports in the Midwest.
