CleanCo, Abisai Reyes
Topeka
During his senior year in high school, Abisai joined the Youth Entrepreneurs program and had the opportunity to network with business leaders in the community. he enjoyed the program so much that he began to consider starting a business and started working on business plans. He eventually settled on a cleaning business because of the flexibility of the work and scalable nature of the business.

Abisai secured a permit from the city to operate his new business out of his home and worked with a business mentor to learn the process for bidding on janitorial jobs. He only uses local businesses as suppliers and vendors to maximize his business's positive impact on the local economy. Between juggling work and school, it has been no easy task to get the business off the ground, but Abisai plans for continued growth including expanding his services and building up the necessary infrastructure to bid on a service smaller government contracts.

Abisai took first place in the Topeka Region in The Flyers 2014 Business Plan Competition and was named a Global Young Entrepreneur of 2015 by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship in New York.
